University saves $17,000 a year

Bethune-Cookman University has managed to save over 40% of their energy cost using a new product from Enigin. The energy saving business was able to install their Eniscope and immediate identify a way to save the university money year on year.

Running through data collected in the first week and combining it with the historic trends in the companies own data, Eniscope was able to make a new plan for the running of various necessary machines. the resulting energy use was a direct $1,400 per month. Using the new plan would allow the university to continually make this saving over the lifetime of the machines.

Using the Eniscope allowed the university to directly see their current energy use and the costs. The built-in analytic platform displays the information in a way that allows for easy interpretation and instance changes.

Alison Derricote of Bethune-Cookman University said “I think it is a very good tool and it can be used by anybody. We can see in real-time what we are actually doing and what we are actually saving.”

The university had previously been approached by various other companies claiming to be able to save them money, but the companies would require a long term commitment with no idea of what they would require or where they were going to be able to go.

Enigin has produced a product which seems to meet the exact needs of large organisations and provides them with a money saving initiative with green credentials that every one is looking for in these times of financial austerity.
